Still, over the last 25 years the economic position of newcomers relative to the Canadian-born population has declined. What promising practices and innovation led by career practitioners, settlement workers and others within the settlement industry are creating the community capacity for newcomers to overcome systemic barriers and reach their individual and collective potential?
