Open Washing is a term we use to describe a simulation of openness. In it, an institution claims to be open and builds a discourse about it, when its actions are in fact the opposite. In this session, we will discuss the ways in which open washing happens. We want to understand the different roles of institutions in open washing happening and how to tackle this issue.
