RAISE-ETP provided important data on the duration of untreated psychosis (DUP) in the U.S. and its impact on outcomes of interest. We have been exploring strategies to better understand factors contributing to DUP and potentially to its reduction.

Our experience also highlighted the need to further reduce the risk of hospitalization following initial “recovery” from a first episode of psychosis and to understand obstacles to medication adherence. These and other issues will be discussed in more detail.
