Deconstructing Clients’ Career Anxiety by Creating Positive Narratives & Co-Constructed Plans (Registration required)
Feedback form is now closed.

A single counselling session should effectively target the clients’ needs and be long enough to identity presenting issues and their goals. Practitioners are working with limited resources while dealing with clients’ complex needs. Maximizing solution-focused talk and effectively identifying presenting issues in a single counseling session is vital. This workshop will teach practitioners to stay focused on eliciting solutions to help clients reconstruct positive narratives which can resolve their career anxiety/crisis.

Participants will learn how to integrate positive psychology techniques, solution-based approaches and narrative therapy principles to assist clients to develop their positive narratives which will reveal self-identified solutions and actions.

In this workshop, participants will walk away with the following skills refinement:

  • Making self-learning moments stick so that clients can discover their own positive self-narrative
  • Shifting our interventions – so that clients will flourish after they leave the single session
  • Activating and employing their signature strengths in finding meaningful work

Learn to conduct single career counselling sessions to enable clients to come up with solutions and to make meaning of their life/career planning process.
