Explore how a comprehensive and positive approach to school-wide behavior management expectations can improve behavior, learning, and engagement. The acronym STOIC summarizes the major strategies for achieving proactive behavioral support systems for all students in all schools: Structure settings for success; teach expectations directly to students in detail and with repetition; observe, monitor, supervise; interact positively with students; and correct fluently, calmly, consistently, immediately, and respectfully.
