Healing People, Healing Places, Healing Ecosystems (Part Two): The Workshop
TRACK: Biomimicry

This is Part Two of a two-part session on "Healing People, Healing Places, Healing Ecosystems". See Part One (immediately prior, from 1:30p - 3:00p on Friday) here. Attendance at both sessions is highly recommended, but not required.

The idea of a full day workshop on biophilic design can be an intimidating task for design teams. This workshop will take participants through a condensed charrette for a local urban hospital campus, formatted around the 6 categories in the LBC Health and Happiness Petal Handbook, encouraging participants to leave preconceptions at the door and allowing new ideas to float to the surface. After the brainstorming session, presenters will collect ideas for a biophilic framework and plan. This will demonstrate an effective way to get more good ideas in less time. This will be a framework for moving ideas forward and further exploration, increasing the value added from the biophilic design workshop.
