Roll On, You Crazy Diamond: The Release of Boneshaker's 10th Issue

Join us at Adelina Books inside Boys Fort for a release party for the milestone 10th issue of Boneshaker: A Bicycling Almanac. Since 2007, Boneshaker has been a collective ode to the ride itself, that fundamentally lonesome experience one has in the saddle, and the results of repeating that ride over and over in different directions on different days with different destinations in each instance. This is a celebration of ten issues of the pocket-sized periodical that Esquire calls "a philosophical love letter to life in the saddle, with enough lovingly laid-out maps, poems, and pull-out postcards to quicken any self-respecting graphic designer's pulse," and UTNE says is "a distinct and welcome change from the product-pushing focus of mainstream bike mags."

My debut story collection, Planet Grim, is out on 7.13 Books (10-12-17). It's a vivid, unsettling portrait of the gritty fringes of San Francisco and Portland, where complicated characters long for connection just out of reach.
