Comics stories can be told in innovative ways that make the reading experience engaging, immersive, and fun for the reader. Heidi Macdonald of Publishers Weekly and The Beat will speak to four groundbreaking authors, asking how they adapt their storytelling techniques for different audiences and different formats. Marc Bell (Stroppy), Michael DeForge (Ant Colony, First Year Healthy), Ed Piskor (Hip Hop Family Tree), and Anders Nilsen (Poetry Is Useless) will talk about their strategies for telling stories and how these change when you're writing for online (DeForge, Piskor), alt-weekly magazines (Bell), or your own sketchbook (Nilsen).
