This talk will provide an introduction to the declarative service modeling language used to compose and deliver complex infrastructure services known as “stacks” using a single API call. It will describe the components of a service template and its capabilities used to make the stacks reusable. This enables a single IT service definition with multiple repeatable instantiations for purposes such as development, testing, disaster recovery etc. This session will also provide an overview of the Heat Orchestration Template (HOT) specification for service definition and will also feature a live demo illustrating the above concepts by defining and orchestrating a sample service using heat.
