Participants will learn the power, traps and pitfalls of classification, regardless the configuration management tool they use. The ENC solution for CFEngine implemented in Opera will be fully described.

In this talk I’ll describe a very simple, yet powerful approach to external node classification that has helped (and is still helping) Opera to quickly grow by a order of magnitude in managed nodes in a relatively short time.
