Wearable News Beyond the Gadgets

We are in the prehistory of wearable news: the devices exist, but not yet their uses in both content creation and consumption. Connected watches and other wearable devices may or may not disrupt journalism, but they will definitely be a new way to consume news through text to speech or speed-reading technologies. Sensor journalism is also on the rise, a sophisticated blend of crowdsourcing, big data and wearables. This bootcamp will allow editors to better judge the difference between gadgets and relevant new devices that improve news distribution and empower journalists and audiences.
